Capitalware Product Advisory for Windows

It has been discovered that a common subroutine for dumping environment variables on Windows had an error with the FreeEnvironmentStrings Windows API call. Hence, this would cause the product to leak memory on Windows. This is true regardless of the IniFile’s LogMode keyword value.

This issue affects all Capitalware commercial and ‘Licensed As Free’ products for Windows.

    Commercial Products Affected:

  • MQ Auditor (MQA) v1.2.0.9 to v2.2.0.0
  • MQ Authenticate User Security Exit (MQAUSX) v1.5.2.13 to v3.0.0.0
  • MQ Channel Encryption (MQCE) v3.0.0.0 to v3.1.0.0
  • MQ Enterprise Security Suite (MQESS) v1.5.2.13 to v3.0.0.0
  • MQ Message Encryption (MQME) v2.0.0.1 to v3.2.0.0
  • MQ Standard Security Exit (MQSSX) v1.3.0.11 to v2.2.0.0

Note: For MQAUSX, both server-side and client-side components are affected.

    Licensed As Free Products Affected:

  • MQ Channel Auto Creation Manager v1.0.0 to v1.0.1.2
  • MQ Set UserID v1.0.0.0
  • Client-side Security Exit for Depository Trust Clearing Corporation v1.0.0.0

The downloads for the ‘Licensed As Free’ products have been updated and posted to our web site.
